Twisted Cork Bistro is a restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska, that serves local, natural food, handcrafted ales, spirits and wines from the Pacific Northwest. The menu features a variety of dishes, including appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts.
I recently visited Twisted Cork Bistro with my wife for a date night, and we had a great experience. We started with the Crying Crackers appetizer, which was a delicious combination of Piedmontese flank steak, cucumber, pistachio, fiery Jaew sauce, kimchi, and rice crackers. This was our favorite item on the menu, and it was our first time trying kimchi. We really loved it.
For dinner, we had the Prairie Fire flank steak, which is a nine-ounce sliced flank steak with an espresso-cayenne rub, grilled medium rare. The steak comes with fingerling potatoes, apple slaw, and whiskey glaze Granny Smith apples with cinnamon. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were amazing.
We also had the colossal sea scallops, which were cooked perfectly and served with charred Brussels, pistachio gremolata, and rice. The scallops were incredibly tender and flavorful, and the charred Brussels were a nice touch.
To compliment our meal we enjoyed a bottle of one of the Pacific Northwest wines. The Hedges Family Cabernet Sauvignon did not disappoint. The wine was full-bodied and flavorful, with notes of dark berries, cocoa, and cinnamon. It paired perfectly with the steak and scallops.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Twisted Cork Bistro. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Omaha.

A great new find! I categorically, Love this place. Located just off I-680 and Pacific St. makes for quick access. TCB has combined all the right elements to produce the perfect ambiance for a successful date night. TCB offers contemporary American cuisine with creative flair. The drinks are blended to perfection. The wine selection appears to be fine selections from the northwest. My entree was the Berkshire Pork with an Irish Muhle, Delicious!!! I spied numerous sea food entrees that I will be returning for. Trust me, you must try Twisted Cork Bistro.

Amazing! Hubs took us here for our V-day date this year. They did not disappoint. Let's go...
Service: from the hostesses to our waitress, they were all amazing. Smiles. Kindness. Excellent suggestions. She didn't check on us too much. She read the table and did an excellent job.
Food: we had the screaming crackers for a share plate. It was a tasty plate of complimentary tastes and textures.
Hubs ordered a steak. It was tender, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The green beans were fresh, as were the potatoes. He had no complaints.
I ordered the halibut. So good. The capers. The potatoes. The asparagus. Holy moly. I didn't want to stop eating it. So wonderful.
It was all Divine.
Dessert: dang... I want to go back for more. We got the raspberry cheesecake. Perfection. The cheesecake was made fresh in shop that morning. It was light, tasty perfection. The crust complimented it all so well.
Bonus info: my water glass was never empty. I am a heavy water drinker and I was never left without that ice cold liquid. This is important!

Had an amazing girlfriend evening with fabulous drinks and food! Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time otherwise you might not get a table right away. Fortunately we lucked out.

The server (Valerie) was friendly and helpful. We all started with soups which had a very complex and delightful profile. We couldn't decide if we liked the Nebraska Corn Chowder or Tomato-Red Pepper Bisque better - you can't go wrong. The Sea Scallops, Twisted Cork Burger and Wild Halibut all danced across our taste buds. We were there on a Tuesday right at 5 and had no problem getting a table but you may consider a reservation for the weekend.

It was Friday night when myself, my partner and my brother made the pilgrimage to the Pacific Northwest via the Twisted Cork. It was a wonderful experience that will definitely be remembered. We began our night with the Hot Honey Whipped Ricotta. Eventually switching to the main courses, I had the Juan de Fuca tacos, my partner the Prarie Fire Steak and my brother the Wild Halibut. Finishing with the Vancouver Island Namaimo Bar. Our wonderful server Kendrew killed it with these wonderful recommendations, and his impeccable service all night. He made sure our waters were full and that we were taken care of.
Hot Honey Whipped Ricotta- it was a heavenly cloud of spicy sweet playing across our palettes with a mild crunch of the walnuts and a light perfume of the lavender.
From the Pacific Northwest section of the menu. Kendrew recommended that we try the J.D.F tacos and the Wild Halibut.
Wild Halibut- The only thing better than the olive tapenade with the halibut was the service and company. The Olive Tapenade will truly haunt you long after this dish is finished. This dish was truly delicious with the potatoes and asparagus playing as terrific sides to the beautiful Halibut.
J.D.F Tacos- The First the thing to hit me with these tacos was the blue crunch of the taco shell. Followed by the miso glazing of the salmon that played nicely with the cold pico and avocado aioli. Overall would definitely get these tacos again.
From the Heartland menu my partner had the Prairie Fire Steak.
Prairie Fire- First time in years I can remember a restaurant actually cooking my steak PERFECTLY medium rare, juicy, great color, and chewy in the right way. Apple slaw was refreshing and tart, but not overpowering. Potatoes seasoned lovely and pass the “does this taste good cold at 3am?” test?
Vancouver Island Nanaimo Bar- Sweet, Rich but light with the right of crisp and Crunch. A perfect finish to our evening. We definitely had a terrific time.
